In February, 1985, Michael Condry started a full-service real estate firm called Micon Real Estate (“Micon”), for the purpose of developing, constructing and managing real estate properties throughout the State of California. <\/p>\n
In its 20 year history, Micon has formed a number of partnerships to develop real estate, including retail, office, single-family, multiple-family and agricultural properties. <\/p>\n
From 1998 to 2002, Micon collaborated with Affordable Housing Development Corporation (“AHDC”) in pursuing tax credit\/tax-exempt bond-financed new apartment construction and apartment acquisition\/rehabilitation opportunities.<\/p>\n
While collaborating with AHDC, Mr. Condry acted as agent, consultant and project manager. Mr. Condry held the position of Senior Vice President and continues to own an interest in 11 of the 16 deals in which he managed the work effort. <\/p>\n
Specifically, while collaborating with AHDC, Mr. Condry was responsible for planning and\/or financing approximately 16 multi-family housing developments throughout the State of California, ranging from 70 to 406 units in size. This work effort represents approximately 400 units of new multi-family construction and over 2,500 units of apartment acquisition and rehabilitation in a four-year period, with total project costs exceeding $200 million dollars.<\/p>\n
From 2002 thru today, Micon has completed the acquisition and rehabilitation of 22 USDA RD preservation projects, involving in excess of 1,000 units. <\/p>\n
For the last 12 projects, Micon Builders has acted as general contractor and has completed in excess of $20,000,000 in rehabilitation construction work. Micon Builders is insured and bonded and has the ability to handle in excess of $10,000,000 of construction work at any given time. <\/p>\n
Prior to starting Micon Real Estate, Mr. Condry acted as Vice President, Secretary and Corporate Counsel for Fisher Industries, Fresno’s largest public and private works contractor and developer. He joined Fisher Industries in 1980 and held his positions there for four years. During Mr. Condry’s employment with Fisher Industries, the company completed $100 million dollars of construction and development related activity per year.<\/p>\n
